2.3 สรรพนามใช้ในการตั้งคำถาม (INTERROGATIVE PRONOUNS)

เราใช้คำสรรพนามขึ้นต้นประโยคเพื่อสร้างคำถามที่เกี่ยวกับคำนามใน 3 กรณีใหญ่ๆ คือ เมื่อทำหน้าที่เป็นประธาน กรรม หรือแสดงความเป็นเจ้าของ

1. สำหรับคน

เมื่อเป็น	ใช้	ตัวอย่างการใช้ในประโยค
ประธาน กรรม เจ้าของ	who (ใคร) whom (ใคร) who (ใคร) whose (ของใคร)	Who called? Who took my book? Who has it? Whom did she talk to? Whom did he see? Who did he see? Whose is that? Whose are these?

2. สำหรับสัตว์และสิ่งของ

CONVERSATION 1
A: Who called?
B: Jane.
A: What did she want?
B: She'd like to know whom Brad took to the dance last night.

CONVERSATION 2
A: Who was it on the phone?
B: It was Lisa.
A: What was it about?
B: She wanted to know which classes I plan to take next year.
