2.1.1 ปัจจุบันธรรมดา (PRESENT SIMPLE TENSE)

§ สำหรับประธาน he, she, it หรือเทียบเท่า ให้
1. เติม s หรือ es หลังกริยาช่อง 1
2. หลังกริยาช่อง 1 ที่ลงท้ายด้วย o, s, ch, sh, x, z ให้เติม es
3. กริยาที่ลงท้ายด้วย y เปลี่ยน y เป็น i แล้วเติม es
o การกระทำที่ถือว่าเป็น present simple tense
§ เกิดขึ้นตลอดเวลา มีความเป็นจริงตลอดไป หรือสิ่งที่ทำเป็นนิสัย เช่น The sun rises in the east.
§ เป็นจริงในขณะนี้ เช่น I like this restaurant. We don't think she will come.
§ จะเกิดขึ้นในอนาคตอันใกล้ เช่น They leave early tomorrow. station.
CONVERSATION 1
A: John always wants to be a sport commentator.
B: That's why he studies so hard at Syracuse University.
A: Yes. He also works for the university's newspapers.
CONVERSATION 2
A: It is John's dream to become a sport commentator.
B: It's no wonder he tries to do well at Syracuse.
