หลังจากที่ได้กล่าวนำเสร็จเรียบร้อยแล้ว ขั้นต่อไปของการนำเสนอคือเริ่มเข้าสู่เรื่องที่จะพูด ซึ่งอาจประกอบด้วยประเด็นหรือองค์ประกอบสำคัญหลายส่วน ดังนั้นจึงจำเป็นจะต้องมีคำพูดไว้ชี้บอกหรือเชื่อมส่วนสำคัญต่างๆเข้าด้วยกันเพื่อให้ผู้ฟังสามารถรู้ได้ว่าผู้พูดจะเริ่มพูดเรื่องใหม่หรือเข้าประเด็นใหม่แล้ว หรือกำลังแจกแจงส่วนสำคัญๆให้ฟังอยู่ คำพูดที่ใช้แสดงลำดับการนำเสนอเหล่านี้ ได้แก่
